The BBC reported that nearly six million people have been affected due to rains in these areas. Intermittent rains continued in Badin, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Umarkot, Sanghar, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas.

Recent Monsoon rains followed by extreme degree of flooding of 30% of agricultural land in Pakistan resulted in devastating consequences. Pakistan's land area equivalent to the state of Florida or the size of the United Kingdom is under water. Ready to harvest crops have been completely destroyed by the floods. 20 million people are affected. 3.6 million children are homeless.

Water borne disease are a real threat with watery diarrhea already affecting thousands. Cholera and Hepatitis A is going to be affecting millions. People have lost their savings, crops, homes and lives. The need is tremendous.
